There are no hard and fast rules for selecting fibreglass pools in Perth. What actually influences your choice of size and shape are your family’s needs. It would be wise to have a sit-down and decide what kind of pool you’ll be investing in before making the investment.
First, take into consideration the number of people in your family. If three to four people will be using the pool then a 4m by 7m pool would suffice. If you’ve got five to six people ready to jump in, you may want to consider 4.5m by 9m. If you have a large family or plan to entertain several guests, then something in the range of 10 or 12m in length is what you need.
Water sports or swimming?
Will the pool be used for water sports or for recreational swimming? You don’t really need a deep end for basketball or volleyball. If people will be diving and swimming, however, then a deep end of not more than 1.5m is recommended. Pools with 1.5m deep ends need to be a minimum of 4m in width and 8m in length.
Pools with Slides
If you’d like to add a slide to your swimming pool, the water should be approximately 1.4m deep for safety reasons, and the width should be at least 3.6m.
