Tips on Maintaining Swimming Pools

Though often used during the summer, swimming pools require regular care and maintenance to ensure its beauty and functionality. Of course, there is no better way to prepare your pool for the summer than to have it checked months ahead. Here are some useful tips on maintaining your swimming pool all year long.

  1. Get Rid of Debris – One of the most common sights pool owners get to see daily when they prep their pools are the different kinds of debris floating—leaves, twigs, even dead insects! A weekly vacuuming session will do the trick and keep these debris at bay and away from heavily contaminating your pool.

  1. Chlorine: Worthy Ally – Sanitize your swimming pool using chlorine. Chlorine is an effective agent in killing bacteria and eliminating other forms of contaminants. Put some on your pool weekly and keep those dangerous, unseen enemies away.

  1. Test the Water – You should also have the pool water tested on a monthly basis. Take an ample amount of sample water and take it to a trusted pool dealership and have it checked for proper balance.

By following these simple reminders, your friends and family can have a safer and more enjoyable time each time they take a dip or dive in your pool.
